What our reports are (and aren't)

AccessTally reports contain automated engineering findings generated by testing pages against WCAG success criteria in a real browser. They are provided for informational purposes. They are not legal advice, and they are not a certification of conformance. Automated testing detects a substantial share of accessibility issues, but some WCAG criteria can only be evaluated by a human. A high score reduces risk; it does not eliminate it.

Privacy

When you run a free scan we store the URL you submitted, the scan results, and a salted hash of your IP address (used only for rate limiting — we do not store your raw IP). If you provide your email to unlock a report, we use it to send you that report and, occasionally, relevant product updates. We do not sell or share your email. Free scan reports and results are deleted automatically after 14 days. To request earlier deletion, contact us.

Acceptable use

Only scan websites you own or are authorized to evaluate. Scans generate ordinary page requests similar to a normal visitor. We block scanning of private networks and enforce rate limits.
